Personal Life
Mike grew up in Mason City, Iowa and attended Mason City High School. After graduation, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa and Davenport, Iowa before settling in Galesburg, Ill.
Joining OSI
He joined OSI when the computer division was first started at the turn of the century. “It is exciting to see how the computer division has grown from nothing in 2000 to where we are today…” he said. “We pride ourselves to get our customers IT issues solved in a timely manner.”
A Typical Day in the Office
Mike is crucial to getting the day to start off on a good foot. He starts out by setting up schedules with his fellow staff and figure out what customers still have issues that need to be taken care of. One part of his job that is important is keeping up to date with technology and some new avenues to make his work more efficient, and keep up with current trends. “Teamwork and passing on new ideas and techniques we have learned… is part of our daily routine,” he said. “At OSI, we are the Information Technology Provider for many businesses in and around Galesburg, Illinois.” Mike added that since most of their customers do not have their own IT staff, they come to OSI for any issues with their networks, servers, or computers.
Outside the Office
When not helping customers solve problems, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife of 39 years, Honey, along with his children Brian and Brandy, and his two grandchildren, Wyatt and Jasmyn.
Why He Likes Working for OSI
Mike has liked working for OSI because of their involvement and support of local businesses in and around Galesburg, Illinois. He says that OSI’s success would not be possible without the help of his management and staff, and has enjoyed the ride he has been on.
